| The Gruuthuse Museum is situated at Dijver 17, very close to the Church of Our Lady. This unique mansion, built in bourgeois Gothic style, contains a varied collection of carpets, coins, furniture, antiques, glass, weapons, silver, household objects, ceramics and musical and measuring instruments. It was formerly the Palace of the Lords of Gruuthuse and it did not become a municipal museum until 1955. It is definitely worth a visit. |  |
