Lake of Love - Minnewater bridge
A bridge with six arches takes us across the Minnewater (Lake of Love) to the Poertoren. In 1401 the city commissioned master mason Jan van Oudenaerde to build the Poertoren (Gunpowder tower). The city of Bruges wanted a workshop where the city's gunpowder could be made in safety.
