Market SquareThe Market Square covers an area of about one hectare, and like many medieval squares it has a rectangular, enclosed shape. Narrow streets fan out from the square into the city. On the eastern side of the square we find the Provincial Government Palace. On the southern side of the Market Square you will see the Belfry, the tower which rises above the Halls. This used to be home to the city treasury. There you can see the wonderful carillon bells and the clock. | ||
