EzelpoortThe Ezelpoort is one of the four remaining city gates. In 1369 Jan Slabbaerd was commissioned to replace the old city gate. The gate was altered frequently between the 14th and 17th centuries. The present gate is not as heavily built as the Gentpoort and the Kruispoort, because there was much less need to defend that side of the city. | ||
